   Great spot for any live jazz they have. Drinks were awesome and the dessert we had was definitely not a boxed re-served treat.

   Overall ambiance was great. Dimmed light, cool speak easy vibe, however the music they had playing didn’t match the vibe at all… 90’s alternative music playing was a strange selection especially on Valentine’s Day where the place was booked with couples there for a romantic evening. We were there early before the piano player arrived so I imagine that changed later in the evening and it became more of a cocktail lounge vibe which is what we had expected. All and all place is cool we’ll be back.

   Carlos was fantastic in teaching our class!! He was informative and a real joy to interact with. Can’t wait for the next class and will be back for more drinks!

   Beautiful Galentine event. Kaylee and Carlos were so pleasant and welcoming. The crab Rangoon nachos and pumpkin cheesecake bites were to die for! The drinks were delicious. Definitely returning back.

   Great service. Unique drinks but unfortunately nothing I really loved, and pricing was high for everything, even the bar snacks. Overall it’s a nice little lounge spot and I could see us doing a quick visit in the future, but not sticking around too long. Also, the bathroom situation is less than ideal, requiring to use the elevator to get there. Lastly, we went on the guitarist singalong night, which started later than posted and started off very slow. Otherwise he was good.

   This was my first trip to Voo; I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will return! It was restaurant week, and being a cocktail bar, I didn't even think about them offering a KC restaurant week special, but it probably was one of the better values offered from any of the participating restaurants. Essentially, for the price of a cocktail, you also got an appetizer. The drinks are in the $15-20 range, which is in line with craft cocktails these days. The offerings are extensive, including well thought out cocktail combinations. In addition to cocktails, they also off appetizers & dessert. The ambiance is very sexy, very classy. The art-deco decor from the historic Muelbach hotel helps to amplify the lounge vibe. Seating options included the bar, hightops with beautiful dark green velvet seats, and several plush couches and lounge chairs. That night, they had live music from Shaun Munday, who is an amazing bass player with a sultry voice to die for! All the staff, from the hostess to the waitress, were polite and attentive. The only drawback was looking for parking, but that comes with the territory of being downtown. Leave some extra time in your schedule to accommodate time for parking. The good far outweighs the bad, so it's worth dealing with this inconvenience.

   High potential but a big miss. Seems poorly managed. Grossly understaffed. Extremely long wait time to be seated, to receive service, to receive drink and app orders. Served cold Mac n cheese. Please put that on the menu. No one in their right mind would order this knowing it is served cold. They literally had solidified grease on the Mac n cheese shooters. This is a small venue. Totally unnecessary to have the musician mic’d with multiple speakers. Made it impossible to have a conversation. Party of 6. All the drinks except Chai of Mine were terrible. Never cleared dirty service ware from the table. I could go on and on. It feels like a Saturday night should have been a little more seamless. From the staff to the guests, nobody was having an unforgettable experience.

    It was NYE so it was very busy but the service was extremely slow. It took 40 mins before we got our first drink. Beautiful place. The meatballs were delicious. They needed at least one more server and one more bartender.
