Volta is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar located at the heart of Burton Road in West Didsbury. We serve a menu of small plates inspired by international travels. You can eat & drink on our cosy terrace to the front or enjoy the chic decor and vintage bistro style ambience inside.

Please note, on Sundays we serve our Sunday roast menu.

Our outside covered terrace offers heaters and a covered canopy, hosting the full range of drinks and food.

    A really excellent Sunday roast. Beautifully tender beef and lots of veg. The most scrumptious sticky toffee pudding. Great service. I’d definitely recommend a visit and we’ll return

    My first experience of Volta's small plates menu. Absolutely wonderful. Lovely beers and great service. I will definitely be back and have no hesitation in recommending Volta as a place which provides a top dining experience which is excellent value for money.

    Delicious. However I don’t think the almost £7 service charge is quite fair. I know this could probably be taken away upon paying. We were willing to give a cash tip instead

    The food was delicious however we were disappointed because we purposely picked Volta as their website had a January deal that didn’t list only being at certain times and the Manchester confidential or MEN advertised it as such. Other deals were specific when they didn’t apply on a Saturday whereas this one said it was for January. We asked about the deal and were told it wasn’t on a Saturday and when we said it doesn’t say that on the website we were just quoted the times it does apply. The food was great it just felt like the advertising of the deal had been false and that tainted the experience.

    Quick efficient service attentive laid back atmosphere excellent food - we visited with 2 veg friends and they raved about it !
