   I have know Vito for a number of years and been to Italy over 100 times and this is by far the best Italian outside of Italy Grazie Mille Vito

   What a welcome presence Vito’s has brought to Sunderland. To be served by a total professional with food prepared by equally committed chefs was a pleasurable experience. We are fortunate to have some exciting restaurants in our city, yet the combination of high quality cuisine with service that has yet to be matched in any other establishment has brought a challenge to other restaurants.

   From the very beginning of entering the restaurant the experience was excellent- we we attended to by Claire who looked after us brilliantly all evening- we all agreed they the food was “unreal” !! Thanks

   Lovely atmosphere, excellent service, food outstanding. Never order lasagne when I'm out but did today. Best lasagne I've ever had. Delicious. First visit, will definitely be back.

   Beautiful Italian food, served well & simply. £4.50 for a bottle of water, too expensive & the waiter didn't ask to take our coats. This meant winter coats were hung over the back of our chair. There wasn't a noticeable hanger either. However the menu is small and perfectly formed. The fresh pasta was delicious. We should have thought to order some veg with the stuffed chicken as it only came with sliced fried potatoes (which were very good) but the plate was missing something. Panacotta for dessert was sublime. I wish it were busier as it will be a shame if we were to lose this restaurant. I'm hoping it was just quiet as it's not long after Christmas.

   Lovely sophisticated, beautiful restaurant. Absolutely faultless and no complaints whatsoever. Service was spot on, staff very well informed and polite. Food was stunning and my wine was just perfect. Will be looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

   Superb service , food was exceptional would definitely recommend the steak! Also the restaurant really looked good . Great for celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries.

   The food here is excellent. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and in a cracking location at sheepfolds. Overall we had a really good meal, get yourself down and try it.

    Three of our party were celebrating birthdays and received a lovely surprise when ice creams with birthday candles arrived at the end of the meal! Service was fabulous and everyone enjoyed their food we all felt it was a special night due to the lovely staff - thank you.
