   We visited Viera on Main for New Year's Eve. It was a price fix menu...selection was celebratory ...lots of options (5 per course)...vegan and gluten free were accounted for...food was delicious! We appreciated the pace of the meal...nothing rushed ...time between courses. Service was great! Looking forward to the spring when restaurant reopens.

   Our second NYE at Viera. It was so great. From the service to the food to the outstanding drinks, it was a great way to ring in the new year!

   It was New Years Eve so it was a bit on the pricey but so good!! The service was wonderful and everyone was nice. It was a prix-fixe menu with wonderful selection. I look forward to return on a regular day.

   My husband and I had been big fans of the original Viera in West Harwich before the pandemic forced its closure. We had been there numerous times and considered it one of our top two favorite restaurants anywhere. Always excellent service, a quiet ambiance, and most important, consistently outstanding food. New Year’s Eve was our first trip to their new restaurant in Chatham, and we were very struck by how different it was in many ways from the original. We had reservations for the prix fixe meal. We both had the lemon chicken Greek soup for the first course, which was excellent. My husband had the crab cakes as a second course, which he enjoyed; I had the lobster tail which, although attractively presented, was somewhat tough. My husband had the duck breast as the third course which he felt was quite unremarkable and slightly over cooked; I had the scallops, again although nicely presented, they were not anything exceptional. They were slightly uncooked and served with brussel sprouts and chorizo, a rather strange and not very effective composition of flavors – but my fault for making that choice. As a final course my husband had the chocolate trifle which he thought was pleasant, if not exceptional, and I had the crème brulee which was excellent – lovely and creamy, not overset, as is sometimes the case. Another facet of the Chatham restaurant we did not enjoy was the ambiance; the large bar set in the midst of the larger dining area made for a rather noisy atmosphere, not one conducive to a fine dining experience. We wish the old Viera had been reincarnated in Chatham, and missing that, we regretfully probably won’t keep Viera on our future go-to list.

   Finally got to enjoy a meal here on a less crowded night, and it was sulerlative as always with wonderful staff….and we could HEAR each other! Just a lovely evening.

   We all chose something from the daily specials; shrimp puttanesca and duck confit. We were each delighted with our meal. It was a night out with friends to celebrate the season and we did not feel rushed. Always a favorite dining experience.

    Waiter good, but very busy and took a while to get to us. Food was a bit luke warm by the time it came to table.
