The previous day we had lunched at another winery where we were very disappointed, but with Vasse Felix we were so impressed with the venue, the setting and the great food that we almost forgot about the day before. Our table outside was superb, the view across the lawn and vineyards amazing. Service was relaxed and informed and friendly. We could not fault it.

Waitresses acted as if they didnt want us there. Both food & service were average. It was not that busy but the couple at a table next to us were trying to get attention of one of the waitresses to place order but were clearly ignored.

I would have expected a restaurant with a reputation a good as this one and charging $100+ per head, to really wow me. It didn't. I thought the food good but nothing outstanding - in fact both meat meals in the group were barely warm. I won't go again.

It's the best place we ate while in the Margaret River. I can't tell you how much we both loved the degustation menu and experience. The staff were great, the setting is perfect, and the food was really interesting and a pleasure to eat. We'll be back next time we're in the area for sure.
