Utsav is a bi level restaurant in the heart of Times Square located uniquely on a skywalk between two buildings. There is a bar on the lower level and the large upper level features floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking an open air plaza
Utsav is a woman owned restaurant serving NYC with Indian cuisine for twenty three years. Nandita Khanna comes from a family with restaurants in Calcutta & Tokyo. Her father started BAR-B-Q one of the oldest Indian Chinese restaurants in Calcutta That recently turned 60!
Nandita brings the recipes from her restaurants back home to NYC by introducing an Indo Chinese menu at Utsav. Her chefs are trained in the Calcutta style of Chinese food , the home of Indian Chinese cuisine in India
Utsav offers various rooms for hosting private events. There is a room which can seat 25-30 people & a larger one to accommodate 70-80 people. Please call our catering manager to find out more details, let us host your next event for you!

Lovely staff and many of them. Ambiance somewhat corporate but comfortable. Food was so spicy it was inedible, even when we asked for super mild/no spice. Other flavors, like fenugreek, were heavy-handed.

Ramson was absolutely amazing in every way. I am a concierge and will def be sending all my guest. Everyone else was great to.

Good was excellent, no wait for a table. Service was decent. Had multiple servers but they were on top of it. Would recommend

Average place. Some food ok, some not (chicken tikka masala tasted a bit like tomato soup). No gap between starters and main (literally starter plates removed, mains put on table) so felt rushed. Little effort made by staff really, especially considering it was Christmas day. Expensive too - $250 approximately. Oh well you live and learn but 100% would not return. If you like indian food, go elsewhere!

Went there for lunch on Christmas Day. Their Bengali cuisine items were not available for lunch, they should at least mention it on their menu. Half of the Indian Chinese items were not available, waiter kept coming back asking for replacements. Location is great but service and food are sub par. Overpriced for the quality of food served. Never going there again.

Nalen gurer ice cream was the best. Fish fry was not up to the mark. Chicken items were good.

The owner/manager was horrible. She rushed us, she was very rude and was short of yelling at us. Would never dine here again. Ever.

Fantastic restaurant place on a skybridge overlooking 2 streets. Great spot for pre-theater as you're probably only a 10 minute walk to get to your show. Food was delicious, and the staff friendly and attentive. We had seabass, one grilled and one with coconut sauce, and it was amazing and flavorful.
