   The food was great as always and it was served surprisingly quickly (in less than 15 minutes after arriving and placing the order). We are always pleasantly surprised by the slight adaptations to the side dishes offered with the set lunch. The baked pumpkin was a delicious (and very welcome) surprise, making the overall meal consisting of a bowl of chirashi, pickled vegetables, miso soup as well as the aforementioned pumpkin a very nutritious and balanced one.

   Every time I go to Uoichi, I think to myself, “I really should come here more often!” The food is always incredible and the service really friendly and prompt. We came for the lunch service which was bento only and the food was fresh and flavoursome. We had the mackerel and karage- both of which were melt-in-your-mouth good, accompanied with rice, miso, pickles and a small potato salad and leaf salad. Will be coming back as soon as I can!

   We've been to Uoichi a few times for lunch and it's always excellent, definitely the best Japanese restaurant that we've tried in the Canary Wharf area. The lunch set menus are great (main dish with rice, miso soup, salad and pickles). Just need to make sure you book as it's a small restaurant

    *Vibe -Great ambience with energetic Japanese music. -The restaurant is not too loud but ppl can chat comfortably. *Food -Daily special set is delicious and worth of its price. -Tea, soy sauce, and wasabi tastes way better than other Japanese restaurants I've tried in London. -The restaurant specialise in seafood (i.e. sashimi) and meat. Not recommend for vegetarian and vegan.
