   We (party of 4) have just had a lovely afternoon tea. The restaurant was happy we had the dog with us and provided the dog with something to drink. The afternoon tea offering was lovely and happy to accommodate our requirements. We arrived early and parked up before walking the Birks of Aberfeldy.

   Super friendly and helpful staff, but the food quality was way below the price tag. The batters were super heavy and almost dripping oil. The chips a bit chewy, the falafel in the falafel burger was nice, but clashed quite a lot with the cheese accompanying it. The hummus was not great and the Mac and cheese overcooked (didn’t even think it possible). The Malbec was not exciting, and the ice cream was rock hard.

   Food was fine, nothing special but wasnt bad. Service was a bit slow but it was quite busy. Environment wasn't the calm, dinner experience we are used to. Dinner service would have been better in the downstairs lounge rather than the bar area.

   Staying on the resort at Moness, decided to give the restaurant a go. Food was lovely and well presented. Staff were nice and engaging.

   Changed our booking to eat outside, sat looking at the menus with a couple of beers, when 3 people turned up, got a couple of coffees and proceeded to chain smoke. We went indoors, where the smoke was still coming in, The food was good and the people serving were great, but we spent over £100 on food and drink, yet people coming to smoke with just a coffee seems the people the company is aiming at. It’s ironic, they promote themselves as a “Spa and Wellness Centre”, yet encourage people to smoke!

    Our starter was sharing seafood platter which was lovely but I am coeliac and there was no alternative to the bloomer bread so a bit disappointing. Main course was fish and chips which was really good, the mushy peas however were a disaster, they gave us a reduced bill to compensate which was appreciated. Noise level was high due to the amount of children which is expected during school holidays. We plan to go again but at a later time in the evening.
