   Been dining at Uchi/Uchico many times. Had omakase and it was completely underwhelming especially for $400/couple. Should have just ordered sushi and saved $200+. Also had omakase at Uchi in Denver a few weeks backs and had a similar experience. They’re losing their touch? It’s unfortunate.

   This place is a noisy zoo. I won’t soon be back. They didn’t acknowledge my birthday even though I noted it in my reservation. The food is good and our server was efficient but there a dozen places just as good that aren’t as nuts.

   One of the best Happy Hour experiences. Everything we had was amazing as always. Food is always top notch as well as the service.

   Uchiko is an Austin gem that never fails to delight. The food is consistently first class, flavorful with exceptional presentation - every time. The menu is fun to explore no matter what you love, you will always find a new treat on the menu. Professional, friendly staff top it off with first class service and great recommendations. Got once and you will want to go again and again.

   Overall a good experience. A few of the dishes were one note and took longer than I'd like but I'd still gladly go back. The banana cake was a showstopper.

    We had a reservation for two at 10.15 2/15. We did put a note to contact us for an earlier reservation. We got a text to call for earlier reservation. We got a 9 pm reservation. When we arrived there was no table not an estimation when the table would be available . We were standing up for one hour. We had to speak to the manager after 1 h waiting to sit us down . He offered us 6 sushi pieces for free. But the issue was the scheduling. The girl at the front was looking if some table customers were up to leave but this was not the right thing to do. She had to ask the waitress to find out what table asked for the check. This lady cannot stay at this position. We never had an issue in Uchi and Uchiko and we are customers for many years.
