   I love the Turks Head, and eat here quite often. I like the menu, which I always thought had something for everyone. Unfortunately, my friend I brought with his wife recently is gluten free, and I forgot to check the menu. He ended up having mashed potato and broccoli! Still, if you aren't gluten free, this place has a great menu and fantastic service. (There WAS a gluten free dish on the menu, but my friend didn't fancy it, I think it was the salmon with noodles? not sure now!)

   We travel 45 minutes on the train to Penzance to visit The Turk’s Head. Cracking foo, good value and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend the Sunday lunch but the food is consistently delicious lunch or evening any day.

   We enjoyed our meal, we had roast lamb and turkey. The lamb didn't come with enough veg and a side dish of veg would have been welcome. The service was good, but tables were crammed in and we could hear the conversations on other tables, so not the ambience we were expecting although the pub is charming. We don't mind the hum of pub chatter, but our table was so close to the other we cld hear every word. I noticed the room below was empty and full of tables so it would have been nice to offer more space, as it was available. Also there was a dog at the next table that yapped a few times and we don't agree with dogs in restaurants, its a hygiene issue.

   Food and service was good but could have been better. The lamb on the main course was very well cooked with no pink meat at all, they then forgot to deliver one desert. Unfortunately there was a group of 4 males in the bar who were slightly intoxicated and being extremely loud and swearing constantly to the point that several customers moved seats away from them.

    Always a joy to visit the Turks Head when we’re on holiday. Fabulous atmosphere in the cosy bar area where friendly locals mix with tourists. Bar staff are super efficient with always a smile and the food is excellent. I think we’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu over the last few years and without exception they’ve all been wonderful in every aspect, and great value too. You Must visit. Actually, please don’t as we want to be able to book next time we’re here!
