   True Food in Plano is a great spot. I met a group of friends there for Sunday brunch. I had the avocado toast...it was perfect. There is some spice which I loved...but the bread was just a little too thick. They were out the season muffin as well...which is never a good thing to hear at Sunday brunch. The restaurant as a whole was cold...I asked if the heat was out. I suspect the cold was an issue because the two front doors were not open and patrons were asked to enter through the bar...which provided some fun people watching as they tried to figure out which door to use (myself included). Our server, Becca, was exceptional. She was quick, attentive and took great care. of our large party. While our experience was not exceptional, the food and the service more than made up for it. We shall be back again!

   Love their menu. Edamame guacamole is a wonderful appetizer. Chopped salad no farro with tofu to be GF was so great. Usually substitute with quinoa, but they were out. Daughter’s fav is the bison sausage & fried egg pizza.

   Family lunch for 7. Service was great. It’s a super location and the menu is so unique. Pricey but the whole area is. My buffalo ranch chicken salad was very good. But the avocado toast was inedible….”toast” was a chunk of hard sourdough. Fortunately they removed it from the bill. Fun drink menu. Everything is eclectic and original. We’ll go again.

   Review: We celebrated New Year's Eve at this restaurant, but unfortunately, we were let down by both the service and the food quality. After our meals were served, we waited a frustrating 30 minutes for the waitress to check on us. It wasn't entirely her fault, as she had too many tables to attend to. The sweet potatoes on the side were overcooked, and the wrap came without any sauce at all. To make matters worse, the special edamame was just as disappointing.

   It took almost 1.5 hrs for our food to arrive. The table next to us arrived after we did and ordered after us and received their food and were done before we got our food. When it did come, nothing was hot. We ordered 2 sides and they ran out. The poor waiter tried. The manger knew there were issues with our food and never came to talk to us. I finally got up and tracked the manager down and he only had excuses. Our table also over heard him use cuss words and you could tell he really didn’t care. We were offered free dessert but I told them that wouldn’t work and something else needed to be done. I would love to hear from someone.
