   We were driving back home and looking for a restaurant with vegan options not far off the Turnpike when this popped up. I made a quick reservation being it was Saturday night and we’d arrive at 7pm. While they were busy, there was plenty of tables and bar seating available when we arrived. We sat for almost 10 min and I had to ask someone if they were our server before we were approached. Our server apologized and was attentive after that. We ordered the cauliflower appetizer which was quite tasty and different. We didn’t feel it was worth the $12 cost for the portion size. We had the tuna poke bowl and double cheese vegan burger with kale salad minus the parmesan. The poke bowl was flavorful. The double cheese plant burger was flavorful and a good change to the processed options most restaurants carry. The kale salad was heavy on the garlic but tasty. We had water to drink and the bill was $60 before tip. A bit disappointing for this casual restaurant. We asked if they give veteran discounts and while they don’t, we were given 10%, which was appreciated. All things considered, we would go again if we’re in the Boca area, which is the closest location at 40 min away.

   We always enjoy the food at TFK. Unfortunately, on this visit there wasn’t a vegetable to be found in the place. We were told they did not get a delivery this week we would certainly call ahead next time.
