I've been to Tresca many times and the food is always good quality. We had reservations and were seated quickly to a table of four, but we were only two. The table was close to the fireplace and the fireplace was very hot. I asked to be be moved to one of two open two seat tables near by. .They said they couldn't give us those tables as they were reserved. We reserved a table for two as well, but OK back to the table for four I went. They happily reduced the fire place heat. We got a great stuffed mushroom lobster appetizer, excellent! Got a great bottle of wine (pursued by Bear) and split a huge seafood fra diavolo entree. The entree was a 7.5 out of 10. During dinner a waiter came by and asked if they could take the extra chair from our table. Not really a big deal as we were not using the chair, but should not be policy at this type of restaurant. Lastly we got rushed out after dessert as they needed the table. A manager came by the table and asked us about our meal and then told us they needed the table for a party of four.I told the manager he was going to need an extra chair for the next party. With so many other options in the North End, it might be awhile before I return to Tresca

Tresca's was fantastic, its the perfect quaint Italian restaurant in the north end. We had a 615 reservation but showed up early around 6, they were able to seat us right away. Our server was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. The food and drinks were delicious and great portion sizes for the price, both of us had the #1 Swayman special (I have never seen a piece of chicken that big at a restaurant before). Where we sat was quiet enough for conversation but not too quiet and had a nice view of the street, I imagine if you sat closer to the bar area it would be louder. We will definitely be back next time we are in Boston.

Tresca in the Northend is a must try if you haven't experienced it yet. I got the veal chop that was unbelievable. Bring your appetite if you order it. Chef Rich works the room to make sure all his patrons have what they need and are happy. Outstanding!
