   Our dinner was fantastic at Tre - from the appetizers to the entrees, we loved everything. The scallops were my favorite and they had a mushroom soup special that I loved. Our server Megan was phenomenal!

   We were looking for a place to celebrate a milestone family event and decided to try Tre. The experience was terrific all around. The parking garage on the back of the building made for a good way to stay out of the snow and was very convenient, We enjoyed terrific service and helpful information on the menu from our server, and enjoyed some great cocktails (the "Vespa" martini and the "midnight in Palermo"). The appetizers (meatballs and focaccia) were excellent. The sea bass special and scallops main courses were also delicious. The scallops were cooked perfectly and were the best I've had in years:. We are looking forward to going back soon!

   Our food was very good. I expect more at this price point, though. Serving sizes for main dishes are tiny. My husband and I shared two appetizers and each had a main dish and left hungry.

   Our waiter Jeff was knowledgeable and attentive. The main course was appetizer portion for full meal price. We love the sister restaurant Sangiovese, but we will probably not return to Tre. The signage to enter the restaurant was clever, but not clear. III could have been the address as opposed to a clever take on the name.

   A boutique Italian dining experience? ah, maybe. A new menu since we last visited, and I'd have to say, bring back the old menu. An Italian restaurant that doesn't bring out fresh Italian bread, wait, what? and smaller portions with higher prices as compared to previous menu. My wife ordered the seared scallops, and 4, small scallops were served on a large plate, looked more like an appetizer. My son and I ordered the agnolotti, and about 5, bite-sized, cheese-filled shells were served. Sadly, our last visit.

   Tre was a wonderful experience for our family dinner. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Food was delicious & ambiance was cozy.

   Jeff was our server and he was so fun and knowledgeable about all the dishes and the restaurant. Everything was delicious and perfectly plated. Will definitely go back again!

   The food was good. The waiter touted that the Chef had received a Michelin Star. I didn’t experience that level of quality. Still, it was an enjoyable evening. I would go back.

    We were looking forward to our New Year’s Eve dinner, but were disappointed with the food and experience. We had dined at Tre early in the year and were hopeful that this restaurant would be a bright spot in Carmel. Unfortunately a new chef is on staff and the menu has been revamped to feature largely heavy and mediocre dishes. The dishes we ordered were not well executed. For example, the “house breads” accompanying the charcuterie board were instead thick, dry boxed crackers. The “focaccia bread” offered as a correction were standard dinner rolls with a heavy dose of oil and Parmesan cheese on top. The house made pasta was undercooked and gummy rather than al dente and fresh tasting.  Our server did her best, but it’s clear that the serving staff generally have not been trained on dining room basics. The bottle of wine was opened and poured, with no taste offered. We had to ask for more silverware as next courses arrived. No member of management came by to see how our meal was. Lots of room for improvement, and I’m not certain we’ll be back to check in.
