Roberto Paciullo’s hometown of Salerno is transported to the streets of Manhattan. Zero Otto Nove is the second outpost of his famous restaurants from Arthur Ave. in the Bronx. From the atmosphere to the food, stopping by Zero Otto Nove is taking a quick trip to Italy. The wood-burning brick oven is at the center turning out classics like the Margherita, and Roberto's originals, such as La Riccardo with butternut squash puree, smoked mozzarella, spicy pancetta, and basil. All the pastas are homemade, and all ingredients are brought in from New York's Real Little Italy, Arthur Avenue.

    It was very hot in the restaurant and waiter rarely checked on us. We both got the rigatoni with braised beef and bone marrow which was good but not anything to write home about. It was very soupy and the beef was shredded rather than being a piece of beef around the pasta. The place was beautiful however not worth the money spent on the food

    The Sea bass special was excellent but the short rib in beer was awful. The noise level was too high. The service was great

    We ordered a variety of food from each section of the menu and dined family style. The food was fine. It was hot. It had seasoning, but nothing from any of the dishes wowed us. The service could use some additional training. The staff cleared my plate as I was eating. They would reach in and grab our plates before asking, “May I clear this?” They’re also in such a rush that as they’re clearing the table they’re dropping silverware and food debris on us. The tables are so closely packed and the stuff rushes by so quickly that they kept hip checking the table and bumping into one of my diners as they passed by. Overall, it was fine to meh. Nothing great or pleasant truly stood out from the experience. I’ve been told, by members of my party, that their Arthur Avenue location is better.

    A neighborhood favorite! Always appreciate the warm and beautiful greeting from the lovely hostess. They offer delicious thin crust homemade pizzas, wonderful homemade pastas, seafood options, meats and delicious cocktails. The martinis here are perfection! Service is exceptional. Great food specials- can’t go wrong. Truly a neighborhood favorite! Big enough for large parties and also the cavernous space allows for smaller group gatherings and intimate privacy dining. Be sure to make reservations in advance. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy! ☺️
