   Overall, I think Toro was good not exceptional, not spectacular but good. Although we were sat relatively quickly...I made a reservation but upon arrival no table was ready or held for myself and my husband. So what's the point of making a reservation if you're not going to do that? We were sat in the back by the bar, the restroom, and a banquet room. I had made a note on the reservation that it was my birthday as well. So, this was the best we were offered. The server did come quickly. They took the order efficiently and also brought chips and salsa. We ordered drinks and our food came pretty quickly after that drinks. Our reservation was at 7:00 and we were done dining by 8;30 pm. For the prices on the menu, which are NYC prices by the way, the experience was meh. There was no real feel or vibe, just here's your food, your drinks, eat and we'll see ya. At least in NYC, you get the vibe of the city. I've had breakfast in NYC diners with more ambiance. I order the Sweet Potato Taco, which was good. Again not mind blowing. But good. My husband ordered the Enchiladas, he seemed to enjoy the dish. Overall I was underwhelmed.

   We celebrated our sons 6th birthday and Toro was the PERFECT spot and experience. He requested the "chocolate pinata" to celebrate so we made a reservation to make sure his birthday dessert dreams came true. We were greeted warmly, seated at a great table and welcomed by our server Daniella who was accommodating, gracious and sweet to the guest of honor. The pineapple margarita was delicious, chips, salsa and fresh guacamole is outstanding. Our son loved his chicken tenders and corn- the kid menu is perfect for the littles. I never switch up my order opting for Taco Salad every time and I am never disappointed- it is so delicious. We were all blown away by the over the top birthday dessert and he had the best time knocking all the delicious treats out of the pinata. Toto Cantina is a great spot for families looking to celebrate!

   Not sure what has happened to Toro but the guacamole was tasteless. Butternut squash sopa with pepitas was so salty it was inedible. Quesadilla (cheese) tasted artificial and salad greens looked like they had been sitting around a few days - totally wilted, nothing crisp or fresh about he salad whatsoever. The place is not the same . Disappointing and after $100 wasted.

   What a great place celebrating my sons bday! The server Daniella was absolutely 5 stars! Attentive, personable, and went out of her way to ensure our party of 6 had a great dining experience! Suggestion to all goodies try Toro and ask for Daniella. You will not be disappointed!

   Our server, Maya was phenominal! She was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all the food and drinks offered at Toro! Maya was very attentive throughout our visit. Our food came exactly how we ordered it and came quickly after we placed our order

   Great food- service was a bit slow. Cocktails were good- margarita was a bit too sweet. Tacos were delicious- had sweet potato. Many many gluten free options

   The food was outstanding, as I got the birria tacos (highly recommend)! I definitely was a bit disappointed by the service because it took probably a good ten minutes to get our waters, and another ten for the waiter to come back and get our food orders and bring over chips and salsa. May have been because it was a Saturday night, not sure. Overall the food was phenomenal, service was just ok.

   We were promptly and graciously greeted at the door. Our server showed up promptly with a smile on his face. All our needs were met or exceeded.

    We love visiting Toro Cantina when we are in Albany. The food is delicious and the waitstaff is always very accommodating to our group. One issue on our last visit, the hostess claimed she was going to charge us $25 because we were one person short of our 8 party reservation. This seems a bit extreme and unnecessary given that there were plenty of available tables throughout the space. We hope this charge doesn't go through so that we can return in the future.
