Ever since Tops Diner was established in 1942, our focus has always been to serve what our customers want, exactly when and how they want it. As the American dining culture shifts, we recognize we must strive to recreate the 1920’s renaissance that birthed the diner as we know it today, all the while preserving the historical and cultural identity that made Tops Diner the model all others hope to emulate.

By constantly evolving, we ensure our ability to provide a diverse menu of high quality options with the speed of service we’ve all become accustomed to, providing the uniquely satisfying experience synonymous with the Tops Diner name.     This is our 2nd time back to Tops and we loved it. This time we went for Dinner and it was delicious. Service was great and ambiance on a Friday night was also great. We had a group of 6 and everyone’s food was delicious, I myself had the southern fried chicken and it was delicious and a very large portion, red wine short ribs was also delicious, churrasco was great and the Shanghai steak bowl was amazing. All their portions are large.

    The food and service were great, and our waitress was excellent, but the host was very rude. We came early and waited about 10 minutes to be seated, which was fine, but when the host came to get us. She was rude and got our attention by screaming, “Guys.” She then led us to our table, dropped off the menus, and walked away. She was not very welcoming.

    There is just no comparison to tops. Hands-down, not only the best diner in New Jersey Jersey, but the best diner in the US.

    Amazing menu - something for everyone - Outstanding waitress - food came quick and steaming hot - just the way I requested. There was a DJ which kept our party going. There were many Birthdays being celebrated and everyone joined in to sing. Excellent. Thanks to OpenTable our wait was cut by 50 minutes.

    I love Tops. The food is delicious all the time the menu is exquisite. The portions are great. The prices aren’t bad either. I love Tops. I recommend it to everyone.
