   I picked it because my favorite spots were fully booked, and I thought I could trust the reviews I had read. Big mistake. Let’s start with the fact that it’s super overpriced. The food isn’t tastes bad, but it’s obvious there isn’t a fine dining chef behind it. There are just so many tacky details, glitter on a cocktail, gold leaves on the meat, and an attempt at a rose-shaped ravioli that ended up being a classic case of “what you ordered vs. what you got.” My boyfriend and I couldn’t help but laugh; our faces were priceless. I just can’t with these places trying so hard to be fancy when everything about them screams “I am not fancy at all.” The service itself wasn’t bad in terms of how we were treated, and I feel bad saying this because I know they’re all trying their best, but it’s clear they don’t have fine dining experience. They don’t know how to properly explain a dish, they don’t clean the table or replace cluttering between courses… you can tell. Honestly, spending CAD 400+ here felt like a complete waste of money. But even worse, it wasted what was supposed to be a special, unforgettable experience—although, to be fair, it will be unforgettable… for the laugh we had when they brought out that “rose-shaped” ravioli 🤣

   The food was good, but had expected it to better. Service was not great, although very friendly, our server had too many tables to cover and did not check in often. Cocktails were slow to arrive. The buratta was okay. The tiramisu was excellent. Portions were large.

   Thanks to everyone at TOCA for a great experience! I admittedly left too little time for dinner before attending a show afterwards. They flagged for me and worked to make sure that everything came out in a good time and still tasted delicious.

   This food was absolutely amazing and our server was so knowledgeable and friendly. Will absolutely be coming back here the next time I'm visiting Toronto. I'm going to be thinking about that beet risotto for the next month.

   The ambience was good. It has Chinese new year background music and red decoration. But the food choice was very limited. Mostly cold dishes. Three hot dish, the taste was just so-so. There is noodle and rice bar, but doesn’t seem attractive. The desert was quite good, as well as the peiking duck. Overall, it was quite a disappointment for such a high price. I would suggest add more variety of hot dish.

   Great place and atmosphere! Food was delicious and service was superb. It’s quite pricey but the atmosphere makes it worth it.
