You’ve never seen anything like this extravagantly decorated tiki-bar funhouse from Tatsu
Aikawa and the team behind Ramen Tatsu-Ya, Kemuri Tatsu-Ya and dipdipdip Tatsu-Ya.

Recently named one of the 40 best bars in Austin by Statesman critic Matthew Odam, Tiki
Tatsu-Ya is disguised by a fake travel company on the outside, but stepping in, you’re
immediately transported to another world. The riotous colors, sound effects and over-the-top
tropical cocktails in custom mugs and glasses feel like an island vacation or 21+ Disneyland.
Shareable drinks come with fire shows, and even the food far surpasses typical bar fare with
mouthwatering dishes like Spam Musubi, Crab Lagoon, Kalua Pork and the Pu Pu Platter, which
shouldn’t be missed. Reservations are recommended.

Came for our 10 year wedding anniversary got to the hostess stand a waitress walked right past us without saying a word so we walked down into the restaurant the host told us he would meet us back up at the stand (mind u it was 24 degrees outside) we had a reservation and he took us to our table he also said "I see you are celebrating a special anniversary I'll make sure the waitress does something special for you" we saw our waitress twice the whole time and that was to place our order and to bring our drink. The Host brought our food. We finally had really enough of not a good time because we couldn't find her the whole time to order anything else so we just asked for the check. She tried to drop off the check and run again but my husband stopped her and paid immediately. Nothing about that experience of our anniversary was special like the host said so I don't know why they ask if you're celebrating anything on the reservation set up. And this was a Monday it wasn't busy. It was so disappointing we didn't even bother going upstairs to the nest we just went somewhere to celebrate

Friends came in from out of town and I knew they liked tiki bars. They loved it! Ambiance is beautiful. Food and drinks tasty. A little on the pricey side is the only downside.

Had a great time… but the bar was out of dry ice, so 90% of the epic drinks weren’t available. The chicken was still good, but the tots were SO salty. Almost sent them back. The drinks we did have were, of course, stellar as always. Just wish our daughter’s first tiki experience could have had a little more dry ice razzle-dazzle tiki tatsuya is known for.

Always a fun experience!! Delicious drinks. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful, and provided a fun time during a flaming rum barrel experience. We will definitely be coming back
