The Chef’s Counter at Three Three Seven is more than just dinner—it’s a front-row seat to a story told through food. At this intimate four-seat counter, you’re not just watching the kitchen—you’re part of it. From the first flame to the final garnish, every moment is personal, precise, and packed with purpose. Chef Jay Fernell, a Louisiana native, blends the soulful flavors of his childhood in Carencro with the seasonal ingredients and inspiration of Southern California. The result is an 11-course tasting menu that honors tradition while fearlessly pushing boundaries. Expect house-smoked ingredients, bold seasonal flavors, and a few unexpected surprises from the chef along the way. No dish is here by accident—every course tells a story. Three Three Seven is where innovative passion and culinary craft intersect. Chef Jay and his team, were exceptional, from the unassuming entrance, to the intimate setting, to the experimental-yet-approachable spin on classic southern flavors, the overall evening was a treat. What started off as a passion project born during the days of the pandemic, has evolved into a unique dining experience that I know my husband and I will be thinking about for a really long time.

Wow what an amazing experience!!! Chef J was not only very personable, but his culinary creations were spectacular. He combined fresh ingredients, with an Louisiana flair. He has an incredible attention to detail and his presentation with each dish was top-notch. If you are in San Diego Three Three Seven is not a restaurant to pass up. We can’t wait to go back if we are in town again.

If you are questioning your choice or the No cancellation fee… LET. THAT. GO!! Absolutely YES is the only answer. I’ve done many chef driven dinners with the likes of Javier Plascencia, Coral Strong of Garden Kitchen, Steve Brown of Swagyu StudyHall, Canlis, 31thirtyone by Deckman, Yonos, Cow by Bear, Mille Fleurs etc. Chef Jay delivers. Do yourself a favor and go. Ps- The wine pairing is definitely worth the add! Thank me later.

If you are looking for a unique dining experience this is the place to go! I booked this place for a girls night and am so glad I did. I was greeted at the front door by the sweetest hostess that walked me up to the loft where we were having dinner. The space was so welcoming, and intimate. I felt as if I was walking into a long time friends house for a meal. The staff was attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Chef Jay created a 13 course meal, that with every plate seemed to just get better and better. Every time I thought I had picked a favorite dish then something else would come out and I would think that was the one. Every course was presented beautifully, the flavors were incredible, and the best part was that the Chef would come and explain every dish, even giving us a childhood story behind a couple. I cannot recommend this place enough, from the ambiance, to the staff and the amazing food, you will not be disappointed! Make sure to get the wine pairing too, definitely worth it! I am already counting down the days to my next visit, this time with my husband. Thank you Chef Jay and staff for an amazing night!

From the moment you walk up and are greeted by the woman with the rose, to the very end when you’re gifted with the menu from the night with the Spotify code for the special curated playlist, nothing is forgotten. The care that the team takes to ensure the experience is unforgettable cannot be matched. You’re taken on a journey of the chef’s childhood in Louisiana through his lense of cooking and the flavors he develops are incredible. Every bite is better than the last and you’re left waiting for the next incredible bite time after time. The non alcoholic wine pairing was also to die for. Perfectly pairs with the dishes and enhances the whole experience. Definitely a must try!

Such a delicious, cozy, great experience. Chef Jay welcomes you right into his kitchen and sends you on the best, nostalgic culinary journey. I was definitely stuffed, but I could of ate at least 10 more biscuits and 20 more beignets. Great for a special date night, friends dinner, or if you're really craving some great southern hospitality. <3

What a lucky find! Every aspect of the evening was carefully curated to provide an amazing dining experience. We felt as if we at an intimate dinner at a friend’s house- albeit a friend who is a very talented chef! I highly recommend Three Three Seven and can’t wait to go back!
