   Had a wonderful meal with family this morning. Everyone enjoyed the drinks and delicious food. Service was very good. We were on our way to the Expo Center, so appreciated the fast and friendly service. Will come back with hubby for dinner.

   We ordered the fish and chips and the shepherds pie. The food came out hot and very good. I personally like my food a bit more seasoned but my husband said the fish and chips were seasoned perfect. Our waitress and server were fantastic! They have a cozy fireplace towards the back where you can dine as well.

   The fish and chips were not up to par. Fish was tough. How does fish get tough? And the fries were not cooked all the way through. Prices high as well. 6 of us got fish and chips and workmans burgers. 3 beers. After tip, $200. For lunch? Liked the atmosphere, service was excellent, beers were good. But we'll have to save up to come back.

   Group of us girls met for book club night here and we all enjoyed it very much! Great location.

   First time visitor and came away impressed with plans to go back. This has a casual environment with elevated pub fair - my burger and fries (those fries!) were awesome.

   I received an Instrgram post promoting The Workman's Friend, and I'm glad I got it. Upon arriving at The Workman's Friend, I selected to sit at the bar. The two bartenders were fantastic and entertaining. The food was wonderful and plentiful. My favorite was their chips appetizer that was served with kectup, aolie, and a side of curry. The Workman's Friend is now on my 'go to' list of Charlotte metro restaurants.

   I’ve been here a million times and it’s always been good. Tonight was horrible. When everyone at a table leaves all their food and doesn’t ask for to go boxes, you as a server should ask some questions. We will be back but the food quality is really slipping. Even the fries (chips) were bad…how is that even possible?!

    Always a good experience here, whenever we have company in town we always take people here because the food is good, there’s something for everyone and they can pour a good Guinness.
