   A lovely restaurant with great service and a promotion on the pies we had for lunch. My mum would have appreciated the heating being on and both of us could have done with more light.

   When sunday lunch arrived at the table it looked delicious. The Yorkshire pudding was out of this world! Veg was cold and meat tough and over cooked. There were several diners asking for steak knifes to cut it.

   We ate here on a Tuesday night for a family event and it was lovely. The food was home cooked and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We've previously been for Sunday Lunch and that was superb too. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere.

   The food here is very good. There is a good range of pies, all are delicious. On Friday we had fish and chips. On "Fish Friday" it is £30 for two. The fish was huge, with lovely crispy batter. There is a choice of chips or fries, and mushy or garden peas. They come with tartar sauce. The staff are all lovely. Really friendly and helpful. I have recommended this pub to friends.

   The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was quite tasty apart from the chicken strips - they were really tough.

   Booked on the day and had a good table but unfortunately it was right under the speaker with loud Christmas music playing . Menu limited and no desserts on the menu , been a good few months since our last visit but other customers told us the place had been taken over again by new owners . Usually walk over in the summer to have a drink outside . Food very good , steak a bit pricey so didn’t feel that was good value , however fish and chips were excellent . Great to get home made chips . Not enough staff for place being so busy but the coped really well and were very friendly and worked hard to keep up with the customers at the bar . Dog friendly pub , only one in our area so another plus . Would recommend a visit .

   A group of 5 of us went for a meal. The service was great, staff very friendly and the food excellent. Good simple food (we all had pie), served hot and we all got our meals together. Good value too.

    Came for Sunday lunch to the Woodside. The food was very good, quite large portion and you could tell the food was made from scratch. The only thing I would say was the sprouts were still quite raw but other than that the food and drinks were good, however quite pricey. Service was good and all servers were very friendly and helpful with any queries.
