The White Marlin is a magnificent beach front steak and seafood restaurant that boasts a selection of seafood with a longstanding commitment to offering top quality ingredients from local fisheries up and down the coast of Florida. Freshness is our only priority working directly with fishermen and farmers, to bring you the most amazing fresh catches and beef there is to offer. With an ethos of spotlighting ingredients first, The White Marlins menu features simple preparations executed to perfection to allow quality to take center stage. We have two dining options for our guests experience between the more casual and lively Oyster Bar and patio to the traditional Main Dining Room. The Main Dining Room possesses classic and sophisticated warmth, is adorned with sharp accents throughout the room and plush seating lends the ideal setting for celebratory dinners or just a simple night on the town.

    This is a fine dining experience! The food and drink menu are top shelf for sure. The sunsets on the patio is the perfect spot for that memorable photo. You will pay a little more but you definitely get your money’s worth.

    The White Marlin provides fine dining with stunning sunset views of the Gulf. We are visiting the Forgotten Coast of Florida in January, a quiet time. However, we have enjoyed mild temperatures, sunshine and light winds. Our visit to the White Marlin was perfect. There were not many diners on a Wednesday evening, so our meal was quiet. With a full house the environment might be livelier. There is a large deck for outside dining, which is usually a quieter option. A few people were eating outside the night we visited. There are heaters. Our waitress, Rae, was pleasant and knowledgeable. After cocktails we shared 1/2 dozen oysters as an appetizer, then both chose the Parmesan crusted grouper entree. The fish was baked perfectly and the Parmesan was an actual crust, not a dusting of cheese. It was delicious! It came paired with crab fried rice and seasonal veggie (carrots and asparagus). All excellent. We saved room to share a delightful crème brûlée for dessert. The restaurant was remodeled (2023) when a new owner purchased it. Everything is clean and sparkling. It was a lovely evening. We will definitely return when in the area.

    Just a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food and the service was top-notch. We are so happy Port St Joe has such a beautiful place to celebrate big occasions or just heavy nice dinner with friends.

    Our server was excellent; however, the ambient noise level caused her to miss some of our menu selections and steak doneness questions. The asparagus side was not as tasty as usual; had to send it back for another - then it was OK. We had a group of eight, and seven of us thought the White Marlin was excellent; I think our eighth person had had Covid and their taste buds were malfunctioning.

    Portions were smaller than experienced on previous visits. The “roasted” carrot vegetable side was completely raw. I would prefer the server know where salads/entrees are to be placed rather than asking”who gets this?”. Proper dining etiquette requires all persons to be finished with their meal prior to removing plates from the table. These comments are meant to be constructive as I want the White Marlin to become my favorite place!!!
