   We went to The Vista for Valentine’s Day and were very impressed. Having been there 3 or 4 times before, we found it to be much better than previous times. From the drinks, to service and food we would match it with other top restaurants in Greenville. We had the scallop and the Valentine special of sea bass. Both were top notch. The normal menu has a great selection of price points and types of food. We can’t wait to return!

   Service was beyond good—the young man was almost too attentive checking in every five minutes. My fish and chips were tasty, and the pre-meal cocktails did not disappoint. Bottom line…we love this place!

   My husband and I enjoyed an early dinner on Valentine’s Day at The Vista in Greenville SC. We had a reservation and was greeted immediately. We were seated at a small table. We ordered tuna nachos for appetizer. For entrees, hubby ordered baby back ribs, crispy Brussel sprouts and cornbread. I got shrimp gnocchi. Half sweet, half up tea to drink. Let me say tuna nachos outstanding just wish portion size was a tad more. My husband and both agreed the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Greenville. This is a top notch place to add to your visit here.

   Overall we had a good experience at The Vista. My wife and I went there for a Valentine’s dinner. The waitress was exceptionally cheerful, friendly, and struck a good cadence of attentiveness to us…it was a highlight of the meal. The 2 main things that kept this from being 5 star: (1) My wife got the Chilean sea bass special and it had a very distinct fishy taste to it and the rest of the plate lacked a good balance of seasoning. It was not comparable to other excellent Chilean sea bass we’ve eaten elsewhere in both the US and even in Chile. (2) The price for that special and the ribeye special I got were very high in comparison to anything else on the menu…and not worth the value received. I think the seabass entree was $58 and the ribeye was in the mid $60s. I imagine if my wife knew how much the seabass cost, she would have spoken up about its poor quality. My ribeye was good, it just cost twice the price of similar size and quality ribeyes I’ve eaten at other restaurants. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and I could see myself enjoying a happy hour and another meal there with work colleagues (or a future date with the wife). We liked the Brussels sprouts appetizer and the New York cheesecake dessert did truly taste like a classic New York cheesecake.

    Great service, diverse menu options, all 3 of us really enjoyed our choices - salmon, shrimp gnochi, and chicken pot piie. Also great happy hour during the week.
