   Took my mom and brother out for Mother’s Day the night before. My mother is elderly and has mobility issues so she is tough to take out. The Urban Hamlet is our go to because the staff always gets her a table she can easily navigate to and they remember her and treat her so well. We go early so as not to kill the vibe! Ha ha! Great place with a nice mixed crowd of families, couples and folks enjoying the game at the bar. The food is really very good. I had the salmon and it was a unique and absolutely delicious dish. Brother had the duck - very much enjoyed and Mom had a burger which was top notch. Will be back for sure when back in town.

   Editing this review as I got the attention of the restaurant and it’s unfair to rate them 2/5 when their part (service food etc) was top notch. 5/5 stars, amazing spot. Only watch out is possibly the connection between OpenTable and restaurant isn’t good as they were def not prepared to us, they (specifically the amazing hostess) did such a great job accommodating us in real time. Original post below: Reservation clearly didn’t happen. We got there and were offered a high top or a table for four. We were five and I’d chosen the option for a real table when I booked. Luckily the hostess was lovely and quickly hooked us up. But can’t say it felt like they knew we were coming and had a table ‘reserved’ for us at all. Not clear if this is an OpenTable issue or a lack of prep by the restaurant. Just not fun to have to be ‘pushy’ to get what I’d asked for with the poor hostess who had had no part of creating that problem and fixed it for us immediately. Food was amazing. Maybe just call the restaurant and don’t rely on this app to do the reservation for you

Your reservation was for 2:00pm and I see in our system that you were seated right at 2:00 as well at a regular table. I also see that you reviewed us as a 5 out of 5 stars for food, service, and value and a 4 for ambience but yet the overall rating you gave was a 2 out of 5. I apologize if there was some sort of miscommunication upon your arrival, but it appears that we took care of your requests immediately and you even complimented the high quality of service and food privately. Please let us know if there was any other issues we're not aware of from your visit. Thank you again.

   Hello Janet. Thank you for taking the time to let people know that you enjoyed your visit with us. In response to your 2 comments, the lobster tacos were taken off our menu for pricing reasons as the price of lobster has skyrocketed and we couldn't afford to keep them on the menu without significantly raising the price of them. We put back our seared rare ahi tuna tacos for that reason. Also, the chicken sandwich on the menu hasn't changed since we opened in 2020. It's always been the same ingredients and presentation.

   Everything was great, from beginning to end. I have been here plenty of times. I brought two friends along and they loved it and will be returning.

   First time. Nice location and interior. Good service. Basic brunch menu. Shared appetizer, a flat bread, which was subpar, not too much flavor and the crust needed some character. Main course was a basic breakfast platter … just ok. Best item was swiping some of the sweet potato fries from a friend’s plate.

   Staff went above and beyond. Had dinner with ten close friends/family, and 3 toddlers. They were very accommodating; good was delicious.

   I do not understand how any of the lower rated reviews on OpenTable could have been added to this wonderful restaurant. Have been going here for years. It has always been good. Recently in the past year, I would say their food has gone from being very good to exceptional and the chef has really elevated the game. Service is always on point and extremely friendly and accommodating. For the quality of food and service you receive the price is very reasonable. I have gone from a sometimes patron to a frequent patron because of all factors involved. some of the comments about noise level are warranted just because of the brick walls and concrete floor, but it is certainly no louder than any normal bar or restaurant. I find this to be not only a family friendly restaurant but also a cool place to hang out with friends. I would strongly recommend this place for anyone.

    Great food and service but so loud and sat us near the kitchen door. Very close to the door. Felt like they randomly placed the table there. Lots of little kids and crying babies!

    Thank you for your comments and we're glad you felt the food and service were great. There was an event at the school down the street from us this past Friday evening which obviously drew a lot of families out with a number of small children. That's not the normal kind of crowd we draw, especially on a Friday evening at 7pm. In regard to the specific table you were seated at, I'm sorry you felt that way. We're always happy to accommodate any guest's request to change a table location if we can. We hope to see you again soon and thank you again for the compliments on our food and service.
