We had a fantastic experience at The Unicorn! This well-known spot in Dublin truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The host was professional and attentive, making our visit memorable. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was spotless, and the food was cooked to perfection. Plus, the wine and cocktails were outstanding! I can’t wait to come back and try more delicious offerings. Highly recommend!

Food was excellent cooked to perfection. Dervis was efficient and friendly. It’s such a pity the experience was let down by a damp room with blow air type of heating system.

I was back in Dublin for work last week and to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. I had booked The Unicorn based on my past experiences there; having enjoyed many tasty meals enhanced by their ebullient staff. However my excited anticipation quickly turned to disappointment. We felt rushed when choosing the wine, the staff clearly weren't trained properly, we had to refill our own wine glasses and the wine menu was very limited. In terms of the food...the carpaccio was not cured, the hake was on the turn with a strong ammonia smell from it and the 'apple pie' consisted of a poorly presented pile of large chunks of stewed apple on a thin doughy piece of pastry. The wall we sat beside had large damp patches on it and the place felt like the place was barely ready to be opened. Lastly, I had added notes to my booking which hadn't been read, including a request to add a birthday candle to the desert chosen by my boyfriend. Overall we were very disappointed.

Quality of the food is really excellent. Couldn’t fault any of the courses. Staff friendly, courteous and attentive. Probably need to expand the wine list - limited choice and some on the list unavailable. Otherwise great meal at good value. Definitely be back.

Food very tasty, however we were surprised with a set menu which wasn’t online. The menu was very limited and missing many of their amazing starters and pastas. Service was very rushed , within 2 minutes of seating down we were asked for full order including dessert. Within 30 minutes we finished 2 courses.
