Great pub. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 8 of us went there on a Thursday which was a 2 for 1 steak night . The Tomahawk steak was sensational. The vegetarian food was tasty too. Fantastic wines to accompany the food. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The food was excellent well presented and delicious I had home made crumble with custard which was also lovely the waitress who served us was polite and pleasant but the later waitress who came on spent her time sitting at the bar on her phone which was off putting as we apart from four others were the only patrons I would recommend the pub as the food was great

All good but food took a long time to arrive. I think there was a large party in but this was not explained to us.

After reading reviews and by word of mouth, we weren't expecting much from our visit but we'd been gifted a £50 voucher. At 7.00pm, the only other table of diners were just finishing when we arrived and no one else came to our area. There was a babble of conversation from the bar when we arrived but these people soon after left then it was quiet. There were people just with drinks near us and we had to listen to a prolonged telephone conversation. I don't remember if there was background music or not to drown this out. Being a Thursday, it was 'Steak Night' and also 'buy one get one free' so we both had Fillet Steak. It was perfectly cooked with tasty chips, mushroom and tomato. We both really enjoyed pudding having Belgian Waffle and Brownie. The drinks were reasonably priced and the Server was pleasant. We were very pleased with our excellent meal overall but sadly the atmosphere in this pub/restaurant was lacking.

Lacking in atmosphere. Only 1 other table for Sunday lunch. The large dead Christmas tree outside the entrance door is not appealing. Having said that the food was good

8 of us came on father's day (2 children) I was told I had to pay nearly £100 deposit because it was "busy". When we arrived, the place was empty. We then waited over an hour and half for 4 roast dinners, a mixed grill and 2 kids meals. The roasts were nice, not worth over £20 per roast.. the mixed grill was cover cooked, 4 slices of steak VERY WELL done, they didn't ask what level of cooked was wanted. A chicken thigh covered in spicy sauce, ribs were very nice. But wasn't worth £33.50. kids battered fish was wet and jelly textured inside which put the kids off. Waitresses were great, very nice and helpful. Overall, £300 for 8 meals on father's Day was not impressed and won't be back again.

Slightly disappointed that the steak was over cooked, I normally prefer med rare but it was way too over cooked for me, however my partner managed to eat it for me. The apple crumble was lovely and we received amazing service from a lovely young lady.

Super food and above average pub dining experience. The chicken curry was especially tasty. Very relaxed, super clean and lovely attentive service. We even returned 2 nights later for steak evening that was equally fab. Many thanks.
