   This was our first visit and won’t be our last. We eat out every Saturday and try to find new venues. The food was good and value for money. I had the prawn cocktail starter and it was fresh and packed with succulent prawns, my husband said his mushrooms were very tasty and hot which makes a pleasant change as some restaurants serve it warm. Both mains were good. My husband was delighted with his 2 pints of Wainwrights in traditional glasses with handles. The staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. My only negatives were, (And I only highlight them because I feel this little gem of a place could be made even better) 1. Ensure children are not allowed to run wild in the restaurant, we were sat at the table near the steps to the toilets and 2 unruly boys were running around my husbands chair and the steps a lot. I noted the Manager did ask them to stop but it went unheeded. It does spoil a meal out for two when this happens. 2. Do ensure all waitresses know the menu as the lovely young lady had to go and ask twice when I asked her what the salmon dish was. 3. Do consider playing quieter music in the evening or perhaps a separate more “Bistro” area to attract couples. We will look forward to visiting again. I would recommend it!!!

   Fantastic staff. Great ambience. Food was good but overpriced. Disappointed that sauces were £2.50 extra with the grill options.

   This place has been “hit and miss” over the last few years, but is under new management so we wanted to give it another try. We are glad that we did. The service was really good and very attentive and the food was excellent too. We will be back!

   We have eaten here many times over the last five years and have always had a most enjoyable experience and last night was the same. The food was excellent and the service spot on. The staff are friendly and helpful. The kids menu is varied and the grandchildren certainly enjoyed the variety. We like that the restaurant is open from midday and a good meal can be had at any time. Would certainly recommend highly.

    First visit and won’t be the last. Lovely warm welcome when we went for lunch. The food was excellent and the added bonus of Tim Taylors Landlords Ale on draft. The waitresses were polite and helpful. A lovely lunch we both enjoyed.
