An enjoyable evening dinner. Arrived early for the booking but managed to be seated straight away.

Third time I've been here. The food is excellent good choices especially if you like meat. Although they have veggie options too . The lunch set menus are great value. I can't fault anything about this restaurant.

Our Chateaubriand was tough. We ordered medium but just felt for the price the meat was tough, I thought it would melt in our mouths. Our daughter called the restaurant before we arrived and paid money towards our meal. Sadly this didn’t happen! When we didn’t thank her she asked if we received her lovely gift. We were unaware of this and paid our bill in full. She called and the restaurant and asked why we hadn’t had £100 deducted from our final bill. The restaurant apologised and refunded it to her card. What a shame we were so looking forward to a fabulous meal. Maybe we were just unlucky?

Expected more, have been to the sister restaurant in Glasgow several times so expected a lot from the Edinburgh venue. Food ok at best, felt very expensive for the quality and choice. Limited sides and meet not prepared to request. On the plus side staff were great and service was equally as good.

I had read a lot about The Spanish Butcher and they certainly delivered last night. There’s a great ambience in the restaurant, the staff were super helpful. We wanted to try both steak and pork and the waitress suggested the best cuts and the best combination for two people. The food was absolutely delicious. It’s not the cheapest place to eat but worth every penny. A fantastic experience, I’ll definitely be back!

The quality of the food was very good with excellent service. As our group chose to visit because of the excellent Festive Menu, we were disappointed to learn that neither the duck or the seabream were available. This was on the first or second day the menu was available at 1pm so was surprised to discover those dishes were off, hence only 4 stars and not 5. I'm happy to give this restaurant another chance and look forward to visit in the future
