Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
The Source at The Lodge at Suncadia boasts a "spectacular view" and a "friendly and welcoming staff." Diners appreciate the "amazing" Brussels sprouts and chicken piccata. While the remodeled space is modern, noise levels can be high. Service is generally kind but sometimes slow. The unique menu offers tasty dishes but could benefit from clearer descriptions. Overall, it's a promising spot with room for growth.

Curry was excellent, best we ever had, service was amazing, super charismatic, steak was comparable to a truck stop dinner. Asked for medium-rare and got overcooked well. Recommend they switch to ribeyes and use a sauce if they are going to over cook steak like a diner. It was tough (not strip tough, overcooked tough) and tough to eat. Convenient for being at the lodge but be careful at what you choose.

Our waitress was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant. Beyond her control, the kitchen and bar were backed up for at least 40 minutes. The food was delicious and again our service was great but the time wait was really bad. In addition, what once was a cozy place with ambiance, you have turned the place into a cafeteria with no ambiance or comfortable feel. This was obviously done to maximize profits. Typical Hyatt model. The chef and staff should be commended for having to work in a place that lacks imagination when it comes to the customer experience.

Worst prime rib I've ever had in my life. I didn't know someone could mess up prime rib as bad. It was somehow really dry and insanely salty. It was inedible. Took one bite and left the rest. I asked the waitress if the Mac and cheese was good. She said it was good and the cheese was different than typical Mac and cheese so I decided to try it. I was amazed at how someone could make Mac and cheese taste like nothing. I was surprised that there was cheese on it at all. It tasted like boiled noodles with nothing on it. The only thing edible was the burger and fries which wasn't even good. It was just edible. The drinks actually tasted good but came out super late. The waitress was nice enough to comp those. The table next to us also said the food was horrible as did another random couple we met outside in the hall. All in all a bad dinner service. My theory is that the head chef must've been out for the Christmas holiday.

i had the prime rib. it was flavorful as expected. the meal took a while. there seemed to be an issue with the kitchen not getting the food out. maybe some cooks were missing. the server was very nice & as efficient as she could be under the circumstances. there were a lot of empty tables which was probably a good thing as the food was a little slow but there was not excitement in the air.

The service took a long time and the restaurant was not busy at all. The main dining room feels too much like a cafeteria with the flooring and types of tables and chairs. I expected more from a so called luxury resort.

It was a busy weekend at Suncadia Lodge but they got us right in. We had a delicious meal of black & blue brussel sprouts, scallops and Ahi tuna. Our server was lovely. It was our birthday weekend and she made our dining experience special and festive.

Food and service were great on a busy night. Ambiance was really only poor due to lighting, the lights were incredibly bright and sterile white. Heavily detracted from the experience.
