   We attended the Thacher Wine Dinner with another couple on a Thursday evening. The six courses were outstanding, and the wine pairings were superb. Our only complaint was the amount of food was a bit overwhelming towards the end, but none of us left hungry. The discussion of the wines by Sherman Thacher was extremely interesting and informative. The Antrim 1844 made an elegant setting for the evening and a wonderful time with our friends!

   We had an amazing anniversary dinner at the Smokehouse. From the minute we arrived to our last course we received top notch service. The food was outstanding and the environment was cozy, upscale, and quiet. We will definitely be coming back to dine at the Smokehouse!

   A wonderful destination/special occasion experience. We were very impressed with the service from the moment we arrived. It is higher end but not stuffy. We felt welcomed and comfortable. The pianist was wonderful. We came for my sil birthday - she and brother are vegan and while we have found it much easier to find thoughtful options than it was even a few years ago - too many fine dining establishments do not get that this is a cuisine - not just take the meat off and voila. We did call to specifically ask if a pre-fix meal could be designed for vegan diners and the staff offered an enthusiastic yes. So each course was lovely. I was especially appreciative that the passed hors d'oeuvres we elegant to look at and tasty. The only mild disappointment was the sea bass my husband had as a main course. The tiny clams were tough and the bass a bit dry. The wine pairing with my meal was wonderful. Portions were perfect. Again, the service was spot on - knowledgeable, helpful, present but not hovering. I haven't seen a team like that in ages. We haven't enjoyed a night out as much in a long time.

   This is an amazing fine dining restaurant with excellent service and food! We held our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner at Antrim in 2023. The old world charm paired with the high quality food makes this a must have when you are in Maryland. You can make it an overnight affair with their lovely Inn!

   This was our third dinner and our second overnight accommodations. They never disappoint. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, the food is amazing, and the rooms are so cozy. My Wife and I have made this our spot, we’ve had dinner here for anniversaries, took advantage of their overnight accommodations for our wedding night, and most recently stayed in the Robert Mills suite for Valentine’s Day. I highly recommend the smokehouse, but if you want pure relaxation and ambience, book the overnight stay as well.

   Wonderful dinner experience at Antrim 1844. From pre-dinner apps and drinks in the drawing rooms to the amazing dinner in the beautiful and historic Smokehouse to drinks in the Pickwick pub everything was delicious and service was great! Ali was a very attentive server, fire stoker and bar tender! Our first time but won’t be our last! Beautiful inn and great restaurant

   Beautiful historic location. Service was excellent. Cocktails and appetizers in the Grandroom before taken to your table. Drinks excellent. For me, Food was nice but not spectacular and for the price tag you expect spectacular. Would try again however as I was told the menu changes often.

   It was our first time dining at the Smokehouse. Also my first time eating at a really fancy place. I dressed in a black dress and red shoes, and my boyfriend in navy blue button down with black dress pants and dress shoes. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, patient and helpful. It was not at all a stuffy or stuck up place. Like some may think when going to formal restaurant. I really enjoyed myself. It is pricey, especially if you go with the wine pairing for each course...but well worth the whole experience. Wine pairings were perfect and delicious and food was on point. My boyfriend said the filet migon was the best thing he has ever eaten. I was surprised to like octopus!!! Wonderful place for a special occasion and for first time formal dining experience.

    I've never had a fine dining experience before, so I have no point of comparison. We greatly enjoyed the multi-course dinner. The plate sizes were larger than expected. Cooked to perfection. Very satisfying. We were sat right in front of the fireplace, which kept me nice and toasty warm (it was a cold January evening) and the rest of the rooms felt comfortably heated. We also had the piano next to our table. When the pianist started playing (which was beautiful and really added to the experience) it was a little harder to hear each other, but we didn't have to shout, just talk above a low murmur. Service was expedient and friendly. When we were served the hors d'oeuvres I informed the wait staff that I'm a vegetarian. They were incredibly accommodating and offered to cater any non-vegetarian dish to my dietary limitations. However, they did have vegetarian options for every course, so I didn't need to resort to any alterations. The cleared our plates quickly and kept our drinks full throughout. It really felt like the full fine-dining experience. We are absolutely coming back :)
