This was my first time for afternoon tea at the Sitting Room. We arrived 10 minutes early, still setting up. Waited a few minutes to be seated. General staff seemed OK. Hostess was delightful as well as server Kaitlyn. Server was busy attending to the entire restaurant; only 10 seated for Sunday tea. Atmosphere was not particularly warm; more contemporary, modern vibe. Tea sandwiches and scones were excelllent!!! Pasteries and cookies were average, not special. A few were dry. Value was on par for other afternoon tea service I have tried. Prefer the Pennisula Hotel afternoon tea.

The Halloween-themed tea service offered a creative and enjoyable menu with high-quality food, making it a fun, unique seasonal activity. However, the experience was significantly impacted by the service. After being seated, we waited nearly 20 minutes before a server approached our table, and we noticed similar frustrations expressed by other guests regarding unfulfilled requests and slow response times. Toward the end, we had difficulty even locating a staff member to assist with the check-out process, ultimately needing to seek help from a nearby pool attendant. While understaffing can be a challenge in the current environment, that didn’t appear to be the main issue. There were plenty of staff members visible, but their efforts seemed unfocused, suggesting a possible gap in training rather than a lack of personnel. Unfortunately, this detracted from what could have been a delightful experience. While I appreciated the creativity behind the concept, I would hesitate to recommend this tea service to others without some improvements in the level of attentiveness and organization from the staff.

Service was excellent, food was not. Savory items were just okay. Jam for scones was not even house made and only one small jar was provided for four scones. Sweets were not really edible, especially the checkered matcha cake (too sweet) , the madeline (dry, nothing special - even with the rice crispy sprinkles) and the round cookie (dry and no flavor).

Expected a much better choice of teas. Tea should be brewed and kept warm. Tea bags were used for individual pots where the tea became cold quite quickly, and no one came by to offer hot tea. Very poor selection of savory food/sandwiches. It seemed like they ran out of food. Extremely disappointed with a very high priced, poor quality, mediocre experience. Will not be going to the London for tea again.

Honestly, I didn't think the sandwiches were that great and as is often the case with high teas, too many desserts, too few sandwiches. But these sandwiches were a disappointment. Service was great until we were ready to go, then our server was MIA. The hotel and room are lovely and the desserts were very good.

Wonderful tea and great service. Beware though the parking with validation is $22 ouch. Would think twice about returning purely because of the outrageous parking fee.

Great experience, I’m surprised they weren’t busier. The quality of the food and tea was wonderful and the service provided by the staff was very friendly. Thanks for making our Mother’s Day memorable, I will definitely be back!

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’d done afternoon tea at The London 5 years ago and it was lovely. They even had this magic tea menu for kids, which they no longer have. The hotel overall seems way understaffed. Our waiter was nice, but kept disappearing and everything took forever to come out. My tea pot didn’t have enough tea bags in it so it was just hot water. And our waiter didn’t seem to know anything about the tea service. He was clearly not trained for this and seemed overwhelmed. The food was mostly good, but it’s hard to enjoy it when it took over two hours for everything to be brought out. This is a pricey tea service. It cost $300 (including tip) for 2 adults and one child. Plus the $22 valet. They should really discontinue the afternoon tea service if it’s going to be this low quality. It was a huge disappointment and we will never be back. I expected better from The London.
