   We went with another couple for supper and really enjoyed our evening. The pre-ordering from a set Christmas menu worked well, enabling efficient service on what was a busy night. The food was well presented and all of us really enjoyed our choices. Effort had been made to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. There was a nice ‘buzz’ of people having a good time with friends.

   The ship is a great pub where the menu is varied, tasty, well presented, good ingredients. The staff are incredibly efficient and knowledgeable and always so friendly and attentive. The ship also offers a great ambiance and atmosphere. It’s a fabulous pub that once tried you will want to revisit

    Eating at The Ship is always brilliant - really amazing food and lovely atmosphere - but I think this occasion deserves a special mention as we had the most wonderful evening despite a local power cut (where pretty much every other business had to close). The Ship staff were determined to go ahead and, after phoning to give us a heads up, provided a perfect candlelight atmosphere and and even more perfect food (somehow without electricity!) The Christmas menu was every bit as amazing as we had hoped. The staff coped amazingly with the lack of power and large amount of guests, all of whom seemed to be having a brilliant time. A really special Christmas evening with friends. Thank you.
