Composed along the expanse of Swansea Bay, flanked by the Gower Peninsula and Brecon Beacons, within striking distance of the fertile valleys, coastal plains and farmland of West Wales, the Waterfront City of Swansea sits at the beating heart of nature’s larder. Bounties of the season from land, sea and pasture are at our fingertips.
Our daily changing menus reflect a constant creative evolution, making use of local produce at the very place and moment of their seasonal prime. This begins in the kitchen and is realised at the table; Egalitarian, convivial and accessible to all. Full in heart and generous of spirit.

    We had a wonderful meal for a birthday celebration. All main dishes were great with the Barnsley lamb a particular star. We just had a couple of portions of the cockle croquettes instead of starters to make sure we had room for the desserts. Good size portions, chips shared between 3. Puddings were all outstanding! We are planning to return for something off the snack menu and a pudding (or two!)

    We were a table of four for lunch for my Dad's 86th birthday. Absolutely loved The Shed. Lovely welcome from friendly, professional staff who were brilliant with their welcome, attending to our needs and complete knowledge about the dishes and wines. It was noticeable that the restaurant staff enjoy their job. We loved each course, well cooked and really tasty and different for some dishes. I love that as I want to eat something that I won't cook at home. The ambiance was relaxed, great sound tracks at low level and a good buzzy atmosphere with fellow diners. Really liked to see the cooking going on from a distance with the owner and his cooking team. Loved our experience and will most definitely go again and recommend to friends.

    We loved everything about our evening at The Shed. We arrived a bit early so had a leisurely glass of wine in their Wine Room (not really a room, but a nice spot to imbibe while watching everything going on). The restaurant space itself is open and inviting; gently lit; not too noisy. It was a relatively quiet night (a Thursday) so plenty of opportunity for relaxed exchanges with the barman and the very talented woman overseeing front of house. The food was excellent -- we particularly enjoyed the grilled sardines with mint (a special that evening) and the superb red mullet. An excellent experience from start to finish.

    Lovely lunch Very quiet there but excellent service and beautifully prepared dishes. Imaginative menu too with interesting Welsh ingredients. Icing on the cake was the free bubbly which they kindly provided to celebrate a birthday….Lovely touch.

    Excellent Sunday lunch; beautifully cooked lamb, and maybe the best ever gravy - a huge boatful too, and proper mint sauce. Fantastic mussels and fishcake too and delicious puds. The best Sunday lunch in Swansea, without doubt.

    Sadly, my family and I were disappointed by the quality of the food given the price charged. Expected something special, for a special occasion but in our opinion it was just average. Elaborate menu pitty the food didn't match. Interior deco ok, needs some softening to create more ambience & atmosphere.
