   The cooking has gone up a notch since our last visit a couple of months ago, really lovely food, the staff still as great as ever, the set linch excellent value but .... BUT still the same ***** awful seventies disco music. We will still be going back though, and probably still questioning the choice of music content! ps They love dogs in the bar area, best place next to a wood burner.

   Beautiful evening, gorgeous food. We loved our starters,especially the Scallop ravioli and Partridge. The service was great, the mains were outstanding. Lamb or Venison was so creative and beautifully cooked. Well done.

   This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The pub is simply stunning and we received a really warm welcome from the lady behind the bar. Our food was excellent, one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. There’s a real attention to quality and flavour, which shines through in every dish. We loved spending a Saturday afternoon in front of the fire, with delightful food and wine - we can’t wait to return!

    Delightful staff, fabulous food and great ambience. Lunch with my wife, worth the travel for the experience of a highly rated gastronomic pub. Will definitely visit again.
