   Lovely food. Good service. Need to make clear 2 courses are available as well as 3. Charges for a 3 when I only had 2 courses but doesn’t detract from food was spot on.

   Was really looking forward to a ribeye steak and it didn't disappoint.oh and the gravy lets just say if I had a piece of bread I would have wiped the plate clean..the menu isn't extensive but it doesn't need to be as looking at other tables orders the selection and portions were just right.will definitely go back .oh and my husband said his halloumi burger was in his words was "bang on ".

   Disappointed in food, had such a good previous experience here but whether it was Christmas rush don't feel it came out as expected and was not worth the expensive value (supreme chicken £20) Venue looked lovely and staff very friendly.

   We had a really tasty lunch. We only wanted something light so had two sharing starters. Can’t fault the food or the service. We’ll be back soon.

   Four adults and one infant enjoyed a very nice lunch today at The Rose & Crown Portway, to celebrate an early Christmas together! The venue was warm, comfortable, and beautifully and festively decorated. We were made welcome on arrival by the staff on duty, and a high chair, as well as a quiet spot in the restaurant so that our infant did not disrupt other diners was provided, as requested. The food was excellent, with very good sized portions and nice presentation. The service was friendly and helpful throughout, from the waiting and bar staff. I have no hesitation in recommending this venue as an excellent place to eat, with a nice ambiance. Oh, nearly forgot: plenty of parking outside and wheelchair friendly access throughout!

   The food is absolutely exceptional. Great value for money too. Me and Charlotte have dined here a number of weeks and continue to come back.
