    Great Sunday lunch & good service. We walked from Croft Castle and were pretty hungry and were very well satisfied by the time we left. One of the best pubs in the area

    Delicious food. Amazing meat, soft, tender and nicely cooked. Excellent wine. All of it (vegs, desserts) was perfect. Great service and enchanting place.

    From the genuinely friendly welcome to the pleasure of enjoying excellent local produce in lovely intimate surroundings, we thoroughly enjoyed our whole experience. We have been equally delighted on our previous visits and it is reassuring to have experienced the same again. This, to us, is a mark of the quality of staff that The Riverside retains. A lovely day and a very big thank you to everybody at The Riverside who ensured that this birthday visit was a great success.

    We had a lovely lunch on New Year’s Eve. Staff were very friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The dining areas a spread out so it had an intimate feel. The food was excellent and all locally sourced. The menu was relatively small but it everything we ordered was superb quality and delicious so definitely a case of quality over quantity. I’d love to go back in the Spring and try their new menu.
