The Publican kitchen still cares and delivers fresh, interesting food. We went to the Sunday supper club and had a truly great meal. Service was crisp and attentive without being stuffy or harried. It was a lot of fun.

The Supper Club was really interesting and delicious. The only concern sometimes was service and having the meals come out too quickly or too far apart.

Our server was outstanding and the food was excellent. Overall, it was a great experience. It did end up getting crowded, and the design is like a German restaurant hall, which means you are immediately next to people you don’t know; that may not allow for private conversation. I really enjoyed it!

This is mine and my wife's favorite restaurant. We held our wedding dinner here and we always take our friends who are visiting Chicago to the restaurant. The food is always incredible, the servers are great and very friendly, and the atmosphere is always top notch. If you haven't been, make a reservation ASAP. We know we'll be back soon!

We went for Valentine’s Day and it didn’t go well at all. We went for steaks but they were out and didn’t tell us until we ordered. The chef found a couple rib eyes which was great. Unfortunately they served our steak to another table and I sat for 2 hours while my other half ate. It was awkward just sitting there watching everyone eat. I have to admit the restaurant owned the issue, apologized profusely, comped the whole meal and gave me a $200 gift certificate. I had my meal wrapped up when it finally came and we left. I understand things happen and I’m very happy how they handled it. The steak was delicious when I finally ate it at home. In other news, it was LOUD and the communal tables put people on top of each other but a couple next to us was our biggest champion getting comped.
