   The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere was warm, comfortable, and cozy, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. However, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations, especially for the price. The prime rib was slightly overcooked, and the Yorkshire pudding was on the dry side. The veggies were well-prepared, the escargot was decent, but nothing standout. Surprisingly, the fries ended up being the highlight of the meal—crispy, well-seasoned, and delicious. Overall, while the ambiance and service were great, the food didn’t quite justify the cost. I’d consider returning, but I’d likely try something different on the menu.

   Such a lovely meal - from the oysters to the gravlax and then prime rib - all so delicious! Our server, Mia, made sure we were well taken care of! Love love love this restaurant!!

   Have been wanting to get here since the fall. I’m from Stratford, so first opportunity. Highly recommend! Our food, drink, service and ambience of tavern was wonderful. We’ll be back! Highly recommend!

   Be sure to check that you’re not sitting under a speaker in the ceiling. The music was loud and thumping and it was difficult to talk and be heard at our table. The waiter was very vague and seemed somewhat annoyed when asking about different dishes. The restaurant itself has been updated from a dull dingy space to one more inviting. Food was so so and fried too salty. Would not rush to go back.

   Great experience! Decor, service and food were top notch. The menu is upscale pub fare. I would highly recommend the Port Tavern.

   We just love it here and they never disappoint! We had the french onion soup - the best and an amazing grilled cheese with salad. Perfect for a grey Sunday afternoon and can't wait until the patio opens!

   Ambiance was fantastic, beautiful atmosphere. Server was amazing, very kind and attentive. And the beer and wine was excellent. But…we had the mussels, the flavours were very good but they had a slight fishy smell, the Shepards pie had a tangy/sour profile that masked all the other ingredients. The chicken korma had a similar tangy/sour profile, but was somewhat better than the Shepards pie. We would go back and give it another try due to the ambiance and the staff and hope it was just an off night with respect to the food.
