The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Parking on site.

We could only get a 3:15 reservation😩 so the buffet had ended at 3 and the dinner menu didn’t start until 4. The lunch menu was limited. Also my order came out a different dish so by time I got my dish my daughter had already finished her dish. All in all it was disappointing. Also I was interested in the history of the building but our waiter apparently was not and didn’t add much to the experience. Parking is still free but they are going to start charging for parking…

The Pirates’ house has the feel of a pirate ship inside some of their rooms, and the staff was particularly lovely and accommodating. The children’s menu, that became a full on pirate disguise, was a hit with all our kids. Our chosen dishes were good, but the gumbo only ok. But whereas elsewhere in Savannah staff looks on in annoyance when you bring children along, here they were the stars ♥️ Thank you Pirates’ House!

My husband, girls, and I loved the cozy feeling and atmosphere. The Christmas music was a plus and the waiter did an excellent job. My family also learned some history about pirates and the house. I would return on my next visit.

Obviously a must see for first time Savannah visitors . Loved the building. Food...mehh. Apps were fine... hubbs loved the crab dip, gator bites were ok. 2 had the famous fried chicken, which they enjoyed. LoCountry Santa Fe pasta and shrimp gumbo were beyond bland.... no slice at all. All meals were warm, not hot. G

The four of us went to dinner and it was delicious. Iall of the food we ordered was delicious, from the pecan crusted chicken to the rainbow trout. The fried green tomatoes were the best I ever had! I highly recommend The Pirates’ House.
