   Food was good but too many “heavy” pork dishes on the menu. Specials board was sirloin steak or beef burger. Not particularly special!

   Excellent roast beef. Vegetables cooked perfectly, plenty of food and gravy. Well stocked pudding table too (pear and ginger pudding recommended)

   Disappointing Sunday Roast. Plates and food not hot enough. Ample veg and gravy. Yorkshire puddings very flaky and disintegrated. Beef overcooked, very thinly sliced (more like bacon rashers) and tasted as though it had been cooked and kept warm for a long time. Desserts excellent. Staff very attentive and friendly. Lovely pub though.

   Disappointingly, The Pigs is overrated. Starter was Undercooked and clearly frozen/bought in (the waitress kindly removed this from the bill) the last main was stale and poorly executed. Services was slow… over priced for the quality.

   Lovely place to visit. Great food and service. The ambience was a little quiet the day we ate there, but the staff were helpful and attentive and the plates of food were utterly delicious.

   Painfully slow service this evening.. 2.5 hours to serve mains and 2 desserts. 2 of the mains had clearly been cooked ahead of the others and arrived dried out from sitting too long under heat lamps. Great quality local ingredients ruined by overcooking and keeping warm!

    I can not fault this place, the food was outstanding, plenty of choice, we opted for some starters followed by a roast and the flavours were amazing. The scotch egg to start was delicious. The pudding table had plenty of choice and I definitely overindulged. First time visiting and will 100% be back!
