From it’s humble beginnings as a pop-up restaurant, to a farmer"s market stand and now a successful brick-and-mortar eatery, The Pig and the Lady, led by twice-nominated James Beard semifinalist Chef Andrew Le (with help from his family including his mother, Mama Le), cook up what is essentially the family meal in the truest sense -- Exposing Honolulu diners a cross-section of cuisine that has Vietnamese origins, but is eclectic and daring.Chef Le and his team have developed a modern, fresh take on traditional Southeast Asian food, utilizing local products -- serving their famous banh mi and pho, along with new favorites. Le is the one of the few chefs cooking contemporary food built on Southeast Asian flavors that has garnered rave reviews -- a foundation built on delicious memories first introduced by his mother. They are open Monday through Saturday, serving lunch and dinner. You can also still find them at the Farmer’s Markets at Blaisdell, Kailua and KCC.

    With food you’d wait months (or years) for coupled with the loveliest service, you have one of my favorite restaurants bar none. Flavours that have that familiarity, but with a finesse you only see in trained cookery, the dishes are outstandingly memorable- unfortunately, if you’re visiting, they will cause you to dream about them until your next visit. Would recommend for a date night, a business lunch, a family meal and everything in between!

    Best Vietnamese cuisine I’ve ever had! Definitely get the venison and ahi toast, and pho 75!! So delicious. Our server Noli was excellent and he even gave us a glass of bubbles to make our celebration extra special.

    P&L is one of my favorite spots on the island. Chef Andrew and his team are great at creating a fun ambience, extremely innovative menu and overall great dining experience. This reservation was actually for my cousin who was visiting the island w/ her husband and in-laws for a short 4 day holiday. They really enjoyed the food and raved about the outstanding service! They hope to be back soon! Highly recommend!

    Pig and Lady has some of the most delicious dishes using the most creative ingredients. I honestly don't think there is a single dish at this restaurant that isn't delicious and will surprise your tastebuds with every bite. It's become a tradition for our family to come back to this restaurant every time we visit Oahu. I'm surprised this restaurant has never been considered for a Michelin star.

    Amazing food — clams, peanuts, beets all fantastic! We sat at the bar and our bartender could not have been more charming and helpful. Guided us along.

    Was provided great service by our waitress D! Started with the Ahi Tataki which was a great choice, then ordered my old reliable Pho French Dip. I got it with the noodle add on, and even added a poached egg to that (the egg wasn’t listed as an add on so I was really happy they let me do that, would highly recommend). Always a pleasure eating here.

    This was our first time visitng The Pig & The Lady. It is a fun place. The Asian fusion food is wonderful. The service, busy though it was, was excellent. We will indeed be back, provided we can get a reservation. Getting a reservation is challenging. There is always a long line of people waiting at the entrance.

    The Pig and the Lady consistently offers bold, tantalizing flavors with an emphasis on fresh ingredients. I encourage you to order family-style and share dishes in order to experience the full diversity of what the chef has to offer: the chicken wings, pho, banh xeo, and the griddled Vietnamese honeycomb cake with durian cream, flecked with makrut, and fresh fruit was delightful!
