A truely modern bar and grill steeped in history.
A pub has been situated at No.86 Duleek St since the mid 1700`s Most notably owned by a renowned eccentric known as The Barber ( Thomas Callan ). A man made famous by his antics during World War 2 . He drank all the pubs whisky rations himself . Closing for business the day they arrived and reopening when he sobered up due to his supply running out . He repeated this procedure the next delivery day ... thus beer was the only staple for his customers .. How things have changed . The current pub has one of the largest selections of spirits in the North-east.

I can only give it one star as we didn't actually get any food here. While we were able to book a table and their website says food is finished serving at 8 when we arrived we were told the kitchen closed at 7.

I booked a table via this app for 7pm. When I got to the restaurant, I was told that the kitchen closes at 6.45pm on Sundays. In addition, I was told that the waiting staff do not see online bookings. I had to go elsewhere for dinner. Don't waste your time booking online, the booking times are meaningless.

Really enjoyed having dinner here. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was worth the price and looked presentable and tasted really nice. The venue is very nice for a dinner setting and it was nice to have the TVs and radio playing. The side orders were also amazing and better than expected. The staff also brought me a slice of cake and sang happy birthday to me. Overall my family and I had an amazing experience.

Having no real Irish beer on tap is a little unforgivable but other than that a very enjoyable visit. Friendly and efficient staff.

Overall a pleasant visit. Food was fantastic. Staff friendly. However sitting at a table under the television was a bit uncomfortable.
