   We love going to Mastros Beverly HIlls in the Penthouse. For a high end restaurant, it only has 20 or 25 tables. Service is impeccable and the staff well trained. We were shocked to see a manager we knew from Manhattan Beach. He recognized us and personally oversaw our service. The food was awesome as usual. We had one small problem for am item we were charged without being informed by our waiter. The manager was great and offered us a credit when we came in next. We were celebrating my oldest daughter's 27th birthday with our family. The menu had her name across the top and they gave her an amazing piece of cheesecake for dessert on the house. We do not go ofter as it is our "special place" for birthdays and Christmas. There are many choices for high end restaurants in Beverly Hills but the staff, and now manager, know us and recognize our family. You cannot find a better place to celebrate the special occasions for your family and business associates as well. We are loyal customers and will be back many times.

   We thought the lobster bisque, bread bowl, steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and the sautéd asparagus were fabulous! The butter cake was excellent. Some classical piano music while we chatted and dined would have made the evening perfect, however, the DJ delivered loud, driving techno music so we had to shout to be heard. I love loud, techno but not while dining.

    We were seated in a pretty bad corner of the restaurant, even though it was a 65th birthday. It was where all the best boys were we replacing or accessing table settings. It felt very much like we were near the bathrooms and the elevator and the shelving for all the table glasses.
