   We usually have steaks. Remember it is the Palm. But the Palm started out as an Italian restaurant I think in the 20s so they have some great Italian dishes. We decided to go Italian. My wife had a unique lasagna and I had osso bucco. Both terrific. Try them next time.

   Happy hour at the Palm Bar was fantastic. Mary Lou as always was the best. Great drinks, great apps.

   We decided to have a few drinks at bar while waiting for our other dining partners. Instead of a warm greetings our bartender said I’m going to take your water bottle because you can’t bring outside drinks in and before we could respond he snatched the bottle. He returned a few minutes later to take our drink order. As he made our drinks he cracked a case of large cubed ice and dump the cube onto his bare hand and place the cube in a glass. Mortified we canceled our drink order and asked for a new bartender. This gentleman could not have cared less. He offered no apology and walked away. This unfortunate incident colored the rest of our evening unfortunately. I wouldn’t return to The Palm and would actively encourage others to avoid it.

   The restaurant was over half empty and we waited 15-20 minutes for someone to take our drink order and then waited another 20 minutes until our drinks came. We all ordered steaks and lobster. The New York strap was ordered, medium rare and it came out well done they took it back And then brought out another New York strip that was rare. There was a large lobster tail with crab meat that only had a few bites out of it when unbeknownst to us a waiter had taken it away without asking the two people that were sharing it. We have always loved Palm restaurants but after that experience, we would never go back.

   It was a spectacular and romantic night out with some deliciously hand-crafted cocktails and wine accompanied by fresh shrimp cocktail, NY Strip, lobster and baked potato which were all prepared perfectly and mouthwatering. A special thank you to Mary Lou who provided top notch friendly service throughout our night. We look forward to our next visit!!

   NOT The Palm of old. Service was good but... Don't mind high end prices if the food and prep are comparable. Ordered a steak medium and it came out black and blue. Bread basket contained a couple of morsels of yesterday's stale bread. I ask, what high end steakhouse does not have a baked potato on the menu? Answer: THE PALM. The steak (NY Strip) was nothing close to what I had at a competitor just a few weeks ago. My second bad experience at this chain.

   Good excellent tonight. Could have cooked half and half longer. Onions a bit greasy and soft but still tasty. Filet perfect. Wedge great. Shrimp Bruno new for me but excellent. And just had a bit of carrot cake. Worth the trip. Billy our waiter was terrific. Personality and attentive and a gentleman. I would recommend he didn’t call everyone boss though. I liked him. My only complaint always is no valet Show me a top notch restaurant without valet or convenient parking.
