   The decor and ambiance were excellent. The food was not so much. The fried shrimp were exceedingly over salted and detracted from the overall meal. When ordering anything, ask the kitchen to go easy on the salt and brine.

   The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere upstairs was great and the service was impeccable. We had never been to the Owl before but we will be back!!!!

   Food not good - served barely luke warm. Requested blackened fish, chef ignored request Pasta dish & fish served almost room temp Server bad table side manner. We have been coming here for 20 years & this has always been our favorite place Get a new chef

   The food was delicious. I had the fish tacos for my main dish. I have to say they were the best ones I’ve ever had.

   Sat outside for the Barkus Parade and Kelly was our server. She was great, the food and wine were exceptional and we had a great time. See you again next year!

   My husband & I went to the owl cafe for a post Valentine’s Day dinner. We have been in the past & enjoyed the crab cakes. Unfortunately they were not very good this time. They were covered in a gross thick yellow sauce. So much so that I could barely eat it. Then I ordered a steak for my entree & asked for everything to come plated so none of the food items were touching each other. My entire plate came out covered in the same yellow sauce as the crab cakes. I had to send my food back in order to eat it. By the time I received my meal my husband’s food was cold.

   Staff needs training, hostess seemed clueless & tried to give us plastic ware for dinner. Said kitchen was backed up.

   Well, went there day after Valentines day think we had the left overs from that day. Scallops were rock hard and pasta wasn't fresh cooked. Overall fair

    Im so sad to write this. We realize it was a Valentine dinner however for the cost per person we are just in a state of shock! The lobster bisque tasted like it had been sitting in a pan over heat for an extended period of time! It had an unusual aftertaste. The costini served with the soup was just a small piece of stale bread. The salad was another choice for the 1st course and it was mainly arugula with a few walnuts and apples. The main course…I just can’t even go there! The pasta had some type of crunch with each bite and not sure if it was salt crystals. I just made sure to eat the scallops because I felt so guilty about the cost of it. The broccoli was so salty and the other main dish was veal and it was essentially like pot roast mixed into a soup of mashed potatoes! The best part of the entire meal was the dessert! No teas included but apparently there was a bubbly toast that we didn’t get in on. Lesson learned that sometimes prixe fixe is not the way to go!!! $270 later and that included the two 3 course meals, 2 sweet teas and tip! We have been dining at the owl for over 10 years and we were just really taken aback by the experience tonight! Maybe a little appetizer or bread/oil just a little something…it was truly a let down :(
