    The server was just awful. We all felt like a massive inconvenience to her. When my husband was ordering she literally left before he was done ordering and when she walked away my husband and to yell the remainder of his order to her and she audibly sighed and rolled her eyes as her was finishing. They took our water carafe to fill it up and never brought it back, despite our asking for water. My sister ordered the carbonara and when she got it her food was cold and we didn’t even bother telling our server because anytime we needed her she just walked right past us. While we were still eating our server just comes and drops off to go boxes, when no one had even asked for them. It felt like we were being ushered out of the restaurant because again it felt like we were an inconvenience, the whole experience made us feel like we were just a problem to her and that is completely unprofessional. I want to preface this with my career was in the restaurant/hospitality industry where my job was to open new restaurants and train the staff at how to deliver the best experience, and I’m also someone who gives so much grace because working in a restaurant is incredibly difficult and can be hard depending on the type of guests you have, but from the start the restaurant was dead and I do know she got a large party but from the start she just did not care. The food was subpar and the service just lacked. There are a ton of restaurants in SLO, avoid this one unless you want cold food and made to feel like an inconvenience for a service that they are providing

    Our meal was absolutely amazing. The Duroc pork chop looked like 2 big tomahawks. The 20 oz ribeye was cooked to perfection. Great dining experience . Can’t wait to return 😊

    Food was mediocre. Went for Christmas Dinner. There was a limited menu, which wasn’t mentioned before hand and also out of many dishes. We had an earlier reservation, so was shocked that they were out of food items. It was just ok. Maybe we were there on a bad night, but probably wouldn’t go back.

    Christmas night dinner. It was full house and the staff was on point making sure each guest was being attended too. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Great place for a special meal all the time.

    We booked a table for Christmas Eve dinner expecting to sit by the window as I requested a reservation pretty far in advance. The host directed us to sit in the back by the noisy kitchen. I told him I had specifically asked to sit by the window which was way less noisy and thankfully he accomodated us. We were also expecting to see on the menu steak and scallops, which neither were offered and yet in the ad it said "look what you have to look forward to," both items were included. Hmmmm I was disappointed but ordered the salmon, which was fantastic. My husband was looking forward to steak but had to settle for the tri tip steak which they offered to him in lieu of the other steak. It was way overcooked and a bit tough. Now, mind you they made an exception for my 88 year old husband, but he could hardly chew it. He did love the flavor so he enjoyed some of it non the less. My daughter ordered the carbonara (which was not hot) because nothing she wanted to order was on the Christmas menu, like the oysters or shrimp cocktail. Again, she was disappointed because the ad showed this was an offering for Christmas dinner. They did accomadate us, however, and all was well in the long run. The compped us 3 desserts and my daughter's martini. All in all it was an enjoyable experience other than the food situation. The employess were exceptional! We have eaten her before and the steak and scallops were exceptional. We have also ordered many a pizza. Thank you!

    We enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner here. We were warmly greeted by someone who, as it turns out, used to live not far from where we live in Southern CA. It was a nice connection to make. Our appetizer was the shishito peppers, which had a really nice garlic sauce. My wife had the salmon entree, which had a nice crispiness on the outside and was perfectly cooked. My prime rib was also perfectly cooked - very tender. For dessert we had the strawberry fig tart - delicious. If we lived in the area this is definitely a place we visit regularly.

    Pleasantly surprised. We stayed at the Hotel Cerro and ate here expecting a hotel restaurant experience but actually the food was very high tier and delicious. The Branzino was a piece of whole fish super meaty and well roasted. Service was great as well. Very well cooked food and we will be back sometime again. The restaurant is a tad bit noisy even with only a few people cause of the brick walls and high ceilings. It's slightly odd that they don't allow same day OpenTable reservations since it was pretty empty when we went. The one negative I'll mention is that they kept the temp really cold for some reason like it almost felt unheated. Not sure why. Turn up the temp guys! Anyway, good food and that's what matters and the rest of the stuff can get worked on.

    The atmosphere was electric, thanks to the wonderfully attentive manager, host, and waiter who made our dining experience unforgettable! My son indulged in the salmon, and he couldn't stop raving about it—he declared it the best he had ever tasted! To cap off our fabulous dinner, we delighted in the decadence of s’mores brownie and luscious blueberry crumble à la mode. What a thrilling end to an incredible meal!
