First time to The Newport. Our son and daughter in law had given us a voucher at Christmas. Couldn’t get both led in the main restaurant so we booked The Cove Bar for our meal which was in fact a small table for 2 against the wall opposite the bar. This meant we were eating in a thoroughfare! Ordered our meal only to be served our starters and main course together! It was as only when we had almost finished our meal that they remembered the olives we had ordered. It was obvious their main priority was on the main restaurant sadly

Food was amazing but when we said no the cheese course at the end of our meal meal but could we have a cocktail instead we were told no as they needed the table, where were we to eat the cheese course had we ordered?

This was absolutely the best dinner experience we ever had! It was so delicious, they accommodated my food allergies as well. Highly recommend

This was a Christmas gift we had been before again a Christmas gift yet again. We had the 4 course tasting menu amazing food everything works so well together can't fault a thing. Staff are amazing so knowledgeable describing every course very polite and attentive without being intrusive. Would highly recommend it's just such a shame it's closing.

Lovely experience. We went for the tasting menu with the paired wines. Staff were great and explained each course and wine in tremendous style. Food and wine were all lovely. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. A lovely spot.
