   Really don't know where to start, booked a table for 3, on the morning daughter and her boyfriend wanted to come, phoned up and was told they couldn't put another chair to the table of 4 we had!! Then the food, I opted for the beef in which i got 3 small slices and I mean small, wife opted for the same, 3 small slices of beef my son had beef and "gammon " 1 slice of beef and what I will call shredded gammon, then the veg waited ages for several veg's to come out, then no mash potatoes only to be told you can order mash, at extra cost, been here a few times now but the quality and quantity has dipped really badly. And to top the lot they have taken out the Ratler cider.

   Having found this pub after a recommendation from a friend, we went for a few drinks first and we were impressed, we subsequently booked a table for a family meal and it was fantastic, the food, the staff, the atmosphere, we will definitely be returning and have passed a recommendation to our friends.

   Excellent as always, staff friendly and helpful. Food great quality and hot. Service is great and it’s really nice to see it hasn’t gone downhill since the takeover.

   We haven't been for a while but will be returning very soon .Carvery was lovely best we have had compared to others . Staff polite and chatty .

   We have used this pub for food for a long time as it’s always been exemplary but I can honestly say that the carvery we had on Sunday was the worst we’ve ever had there was hardly any meat in fact i wasn’t given a slice of turkey just the crumbs from the tray scraped onto my plate the roast potatoes were awful hard in the middle and tasteless carrots were hard and undercooked the whole thing was just awful do t think we will be using again sadly

    Lovely carvery, wish there was a vegan option for yorkshire pudding, I do miss a yorkie with a carvery. Can only ever have them at home. No deserts again as all either do or may contain milk, my arch nemesis. So many places don't seem to make vegan options for dessert. They did offer to make vegan gravy for me but wasn't necessary, I'm not vegan, just lactose intolerant and since discovering that eating out has become a bit of a nightmare as very restrictive. Do enjoy the carvery here though as there is always plenty of veg I can have and the meat is always tender.
