Though it has been converted to a modern restaurant, The Mill, built in 1830, has retained its historic charm throughout with views overlooking Cobourg Creek and the golf course that shares its name.     Was extremely disappointed with my experience on Mother’s Day Sunday. I had high hopes as this is usually well recommended in town. The price for the buffet was extremely inflated for the quality of the food. I think the only thing that was actually warm was the gravy for roast beef. Most items were cold and many, like the root vegetables were overcooked. When inquiring of this buffet was vegetarian friendly, I was told there would be a salad bar. This “salad bar” consisted of a bowl of greens and a few small bowls of vegetables. They also said there would be vegan sausages, which there was not. Most of the desserts appeared to be mostly purchased (looked like a m&ms run was done). Only 2 items look restaurant made, of which the lemon curd was very runny, and the cupcakes, while beautiful, were absolutely horrible! The service was the best part of our lunch, and even it was sub-par. Also didn’t appreciate the gratuity that was automatically added to the bill. Most places do this with 8+… we were only 5.

    Food and service was good. Dining area was VERY loud; perhaps too crowded with no sound baffling surfaces. Will return but only on patio

    Had the veggie flatbread and was great I would’ve ordered another if I could’ve but would spoil my dinner. Fresh burger was great and had cheese cake and its mixed berry sauce as a treat for our anniversary courtesy of the mill which I thought was appreciated and devoured. Will be back again thanks for great food and amazing friendly service

    What a fresh change to dining in a pub atmosphere with TVs covering the walls and a loud environment. The price was very comparable to a pub but the food was remarkably better, with excellent service. I will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend!

    My mum and I enjoyed a nice meal together (salmon for her, chicken Floretine for me, both meals were delicious) wonderful 87th Birthday celebration for my mom. Thank you!

    Great restaurant! Good was fast and delicious, service was friendly, very cool old building and the view wasn't bad either. Will definitely be going back.
